Siona's learning new words, phrases and sentences!

Siona is 2 years 3 months old now. She loves to sing and talk all day long. She picks up new phrases and sentences from day care everyday and surprises us at home by using them in apt situations :)

1. "Look at me!" - started saying that on her own. When I dressed her up, I told her to say "Look at me, papa" when she saw papa and she did the same :)
2. "Here we go!" - started saying that while playing with some toy.
3. "He has fell down" - said that suddenly when Rusheel feel down playing with her.
4. "This my bed" - when jumping up and down on her bed in her room.
5. Yesterday she got some gold coin chocolates as a gift from a baby shower. We told her they are coins. Soon after she started singing "One a penny, two a penny, hot cross buns!". We were amazed at how quickly she related the right song with the coins.
6. "O oh, you ok?" "Nothing happened" - when some toy, someone else, or she herself has the slightest fall.
7. She started saying "Lets go" with the name of the place where she's headed, a while back. She uses sentences like "lets go ghumma" as soon as someone wears a jacket, or picks up the keys or opens the door. She'd say "lets go school" quite often too.
8. "Where are you going?" - said that when I was walking inside the house.
9. "No screaming!"  - just after screaming herself
10. "Stop shouting" - just after shouting
11. "Please open" - when one of us closes the bathroom door

Also has to do everything "appi appi" like climbing down the stairs, climbing up the car and sitting on her car seat, getting out of the car seat and down the car, taking off her jacket, shoes and socks. Doesn't like one bit when someone else does any of those things for her.

Siona identifying people by colors - funny

Siona learnt her colors at around 18-19 months and at 2 she's perfect at identifying colors on any object. In fact, she calls people by the color of the clothes they're wearing. For example - she calls me "pink mumma" when I'm wearing a pink top, or "red aunty" to her day care teacher.
The other day she had just come out of a bath and wasn't dressed yet. She called me pink mumma, then Amit asked her what color is Siona? She looked down at her tummy and legs, thought for a second, and said "Brown"!
We were in splits when we heard her :)

Siona's going to be 2 soon!

Can't believe its July 2013 and Siona is going to be 2 in just a few days!

When you ask her - "How old are you?", she'll show two fingers (one from each hand) and say loudly TWO!

She's also become very fond of singing (got it from her dad's genes). When she spots a bunch of balloons or enters the party isle in Walmart, she begins singing "Happy Birthday To You" loudly much to the amusement of the passers by.
Other songs she sings - "Twinkle twinkle..", "Baa baa black sheep..", "Johny Johny..", "Aaala baala..", "Aatle baatle..", "Wheels on the bus...", "Ladki ki kaathi..." etc.
Her favorite exclamation line is - "Like a diamond!" - which she usually says when she's excited like after emptying her toy bin on the floor or spreading her towel on the floor.

She has begun asking to open the patio door so she can go and wander outside in the patio. She likes sitting up on the chair in the patio all by herself and watch outside.
She loves watching airplanes and can spot one from wherever she is no matter what she's doing before even the elders notice.
She loves to talk to birds and crows in her sight by calling them - "Aaja aaja.." constantly till they're in sight.

She is very excited at the traffic lights when driving. She immediately spots which color the light is and makes a point to loudly tell us that it's Red, Orange or Green and tells us when it changes color.

She has also become very possessive about her pillow! She picks one of the two pillows on the bed and calls it "Siona pillow" and doesn't allow anybody to put their head on an inch of that pillow. She refers to herself as "Siona" and has not begun to use "I or me" yet.

FUN to be watching her grow as a curious and talkative toddler!
